Abstract: This presentation will provide a general overview of the components that comprise ArcGIS Enterprise. We’ll discuss how it's packaged and deployed, and identify some of the differences between Enterprise and recent versions of ArcMap. We'll also discuss some configuration and management changes that integrate with ArcGIS Pro, and cover some of the high level differences in the setup process that will help your organization with a successful transition. We’ll also run through a demo of setting up ArcGIS Enterprise in the Amazon Cloud using automated deployment and setup methods with Chef. Bio: Jesse graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography with an emphasis in GIS and Cartography, then went on to St.Cloud State to earn his Master's Degree in Geography with an emphasis in GIS and Cartography. Jesse has had a long-time interest in computer programming as well as GIS. In 2009 he started working full-time for North Point Geographic Solutions, which he founded in order to combine his GIS and programming skills. Over the years Jesse has developed numerous web applications and GIS solutions for government, private forestry and private industry clients. Jesse's main interest is database development and custom desktop, server, web and mobile applications. He enjoys keeping Esri on their toes by pushing boundaries! Jesse is a long time member of the MN LIS/GIS Consortium and served as Secretary Treasurer from 2009-2011. He is also an active member of the Northern MN GIS User Group. When he's not busy working, Jesse enjoys running and mountain biking the many trails in his hometown of Duluth, MN.
